Full job descriptionLondon | 2 Days a week – 1 Day per Month in Office | £23,000 FTE + benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a well regarded international organisation within the international development sector. This flexible part time role will suit someone who enjoys managing day to day finance operations, working autonomously and building strong working relationships across a close knit team.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will support the day to day finance operations with a particular focus on accounts payable, expenses and donor coding. The organisation is looking for someone efficient, reliable and confident communicating with colleagues across the business.
What you’ll do
*Process accounts payable invoices and expenses
*Chase outstanding invoices where required
*Ensure transactions are coded correctly across donor funding streams
*Support month end finance processes
*Assist staff with expense submissions and travel related finance queries
*Maintain accurate records within the finance system
*Communicate with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve finance queries efficiently
What you’ll need
*Previous accounts payable experience
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*The ability to work independently in a remote environment
*Excellent communication skills with a concise and professional approach
*AAT Level 3 or 4, or part qualified ACCA/CIMA, would be advantageous
*Charity sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential
The role offers excellent flexibility, with a two day per week working pattern and only one office visit required per month. There may also be study support available for the successful candidate.
