Flexible Hours | Part-Time or Full-Time | 1:1 Tuition | SEND Support
Are you a qualified teacher looking for a more flexible role outside of the traditional classroom?
New Chapter Tuition is recruiting Qualified Teachers to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition across Bromley and surrounding areas. This is an opportunity to continue making a meaningful difference whilst benefiting from greater flexibility, smaller caseloads, and the chance to build positive relationships with learners.
We support children and young people aged 5–25 who may require additional educational support due to SEND, SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, EHCP-linked needs, alternative provision pathways, or periods of disrupted education.
About the Role
You will provide tailored 1:1 tuition designed around each learner’s individual needs, interests, and outcomes. Sessions may take place within homes, libraries, community venues, schools, or alternative provisions.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will have the opportunity to focus on what matters most – building engagement, confidence, and academic progress through personalised support.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Delivering engaging and individualised tuition sessions
• Supporting learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE and Functional Skills levels
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet a range of SEND and SEMH needs
• Building positive relationships with learners and families
• Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback
• Working collaboratively with professionals involved in each learner’s support
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
• Experience within Primary, Secondary or Further Education
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A passion for supporting learners with additional needs
• SEND experience is desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
• Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
• £35 per hour PAYE
• Paid Planning and Preparation Time
• Flexible working to fit around your lifestyle
• Long-term learner placements
• Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
• Dedicated safeguarding and tutor support
• The opportunity to make a genuine impact through personalised education
Whether you’re looking to supplement your current income, reduce classroom pressures, or transition into a more flexible education role, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and help make a real difference, one learner at a time.
