Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
About the Role:
As Financial Controller, you will support the management and development of the Finance function across multiple group entities in the UK and Ireland. You will play a key role in financial reporting, cash management, audit coordination, process improvement, and strategic financial analysis, while also helping to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
This role is initially office-based; however, following the successful completion of the probation period, there will be the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:
*Support the Head of Finance in managing the day-to-day operations of the finance function across multiple group entities
*Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Finance and Purchase Ledger teams to ensure high performance and continuous improvement
*Prepare and review group accounts, cash flow forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns
*Deliver accurate financial reporting, KPI analysis, and management information to support business decision-making
*Drive improvements in finance systems, processes, controls, and reporting capabilities across the business
*Liaise with auditors, HMRC, banks, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, efficiency, and successful project delivery


Requirements:
*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred
*Previous experience in a senior finance role with responsibility for financial reporting, controls, and process improvement
*Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring, supporting, and developing finance teams
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
*Advanced Excel and systems skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems and processes
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business
