Job Description:
Full job descriptionSalary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Derby (with travel across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire)
Contract: Temporary (potential to become permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible working; office-based approx. 2 days per week)
I am looking for an experienced Estates & Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance and compliance of a multi-site educational estate.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage estates & facilities operations, including maintenance programmes and capital works
*Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and statutory requirements
*Oversee asset management planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
*Manage contractors, projects and service delivery across multiple sites
*Lead and develop a small team, promoting high standards and safe working practices
*Deliver estates improvement projects (e.g. building services, boiler replacements, refurbishment works)
*Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement effective solutions
Essential Requirements
*Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and legal compliance
*Proven experience leading and managing teams
*Experience managing estates, facilities or property portfolios
*Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (regular travel required)
*Ability to manage budgets, contractors and multiple projects
Desirable
*Project management experience within building services or maintenance environments
*Experience working across multi-site operations
Additional Information

*Flexible working pattern with a mix of office and site-based work
