A global PLC in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This organisation has a large finance team with a variety of different roles, so for someone who is studying towards their qualifications, it’s a great environment to learn and progress.
Reporting into a Divisional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
*Assisting in the production of management accounts and reporting, putting together the P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow
*Monthly forecasting
*VAT returns
*Supporting with monthly payroll and posting journal
*Accruals and prepayments
*Support wider finance teams with reports and analysis on an ad hoc basis
For this Assistant Accountant role, you must have:
*Experience working in a fast paced business in a similar role with month end exposure (accruals and prepayments)
*Ideally be AAT qualified (late AAT studier/early stages CIMA/ACCA studier will also be considered)
*Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment
*Excellent communication skills
*Strong Excel and analytical skills
*A good team player, who can also work well individually
*Strong attention to detail
*Well organised and good prioritisation skills
