We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across key UK Northern Region B2B channels. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while also expanding existing accounts through value-led solutions and long-term partnerships.
The successful candidate will play a central role in driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and strengthening the organisation’s presence across wholesale, food distribution, and food & beverage sectors.
Reporting directly to the senior commercial leadership team, this is a highly visible role offering autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
*Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities
*Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with growth objectives
*Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across target markets
*Expand existing customer accounts through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
*Manage and maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
*Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
*Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy

RequirementsEssential Requirements
*Proven experience in a business development or new business sales role
*Background within wholesale, food distribution, or food & beverage sectors
*Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets
*Strong commercial awareness with a solution-focused approach
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Confident negotiating at buyer and senior stakeholder level
*Strong IT skills and experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
