Job Description:
Full job descriptionA highly respected and nationally recognised professional services firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing Financial Planning team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys working collaboratively with Financial Planners to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting advisers through research, report writing, suitability preparation and technical analysis, while ensuring recommendations meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide technical and research support to Financial Planners
*Prepare suitability and review reports
*Produce recommendation summaries for processing teams
*Ensure recommendations align with internal standards and compliance requirements
*Challenge and question recommendations where appropriate
*Liaise with compliance and support teams when required
*Collate and complete application forms and supporting documentation
*Maintain accurate client records and update CRM systems
*Develop and maintain knowledge of investment propositions and internal procedures
Skills & Experience Required
*Diploma qualified (CII Level 4 or equivalent)
*Previous paraplanning experience within financial planning/wealth management
*Experience supporting advisers and delivering high-quality client service
*Familiarity with CRM systems and financial planning software
*Working knowledge of tools such as Intelliflo, CashCalc and FE Analytics is advantageous
*Strong attention to detail and report-writing capability
*Competent Microsoft Excel skills
*Good understanding of financial planning principles and suitability reporting
