An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a specialist inpatient mental health service. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support individuals with complex mental health needs to develop skills, improve independence, and enhance their quality of life through meaningful occupational engagement.
Key Responsibilities*Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop person-centred treatment plans.
*Deliver individual and group-based therapeutic interventions.
*Support service users in developing daily living, social, vocational, and community participation skills.
*Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and risk management processes.
*Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
*Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement activities.
*Promote recovery-focused and evidence-based practice throughout the service.
Candidate Requirements*Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
*Registration with an appropriate professional regulatory body.
*Experience working within mental health services, either inpatient or community-based.
*Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
*Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
*Commitment to person-centred care and continuous professional development.
The ServiceThe service provides specialist inpatient mental health care for adults with complex psychological, emotional, and behavioural needs. The multidisciplinary team delivers structured therapeutic programmes designed to promote recovery, independence, and successful transition back into the community where appropriate.
