Total Assist Recruitment are seeking an experienced and compassionate Systemic Family Therapist to join a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting children, adolescents, and their families within an inpatient eating disorder service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded Tier 4 CAMHS setting providing assessment, formulation, and evidence-based family interventions for young people aged 12–18 presenting with eating disorders and associated mental health difficulties. The service works closely with families as a key part of the recovery process and places systemic practice at the heart of treatment.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver systemic family therapy assessments and interventions.
*Facilitate family meetings, therapy sessions, and multi-family work where appropriate.
*Contribute to multidisciplinary formulations and treatment planning.
*Provide consultation and systemic thinking across the wider clinical team.
*Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
*Participate in clinical governance, supervision, and service development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements*Professional qualification in a recognised mental health discipline.
*Master’s level qualification (or equivalent) in Systemic Psychotherapy/Family Therapy.
*Registration with an appropriate professional body.
*Experience working with children, adolescents, and families within CAMHS, eating disorders, or specialist mental health services.
*Strong multidisciplinary working and communication skills.
The ServiceThe service provides specialist inpatient treatment for young people experiencing eating disorders and associated emotional and mental health difficulties. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, dietetics, occupational therapy, education, and family therapy professionals.
