HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining high-performing machinery, improving reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.
The role:
*Delivering routine maintenance activities across production and processing machinery
*Identifying faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to reduce production downtime
*Supporting the smooth operation of extrusion and converting processes
*Troubleshooting electrical control systems, drives, motors, sensors, and automation equipment
*Maintaining mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, rollers, and pneumatic systems
*Assisting with the upkeep of material handling and conveying equipment throughout the plant
*Carrying out machine inspections, servicing, and component replacements as required
*Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
*Ensuring engineering work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
*Recording maintenance activities accurately within the company maintenance system
*Contributing to ongoing improvements in plant efficiency, reliability, and overall performance
The candidate:
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
*Time-served multi-skilled maintenance engineer
*Electrically biased (60/40 electrical/mechanical)
*Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
*Previous experience within extrusion or plastics would be advantageous
*Good understanding of electrical systems
