Full job descriptionThe OpportunityAn established and growing organisation is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join its finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking for a varied role that combines financial reporting, business support, process improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Working as part of a collaborative finance function, you will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information while supporting operational teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting and analysis across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reporting.
*Producing financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making.
*Reviewing financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
*Maintaining balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and controls.
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
*Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and guidance.
*Assisting with audit requirements and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
*Supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
*Providing mentoring and guidance to junior members of the finance team where required.
*Contributing to ad hoc projects and wider finance initiatives.
About YouWe’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships across a business.
You will be able to demonstrate:
*Strong technical accounting knowledge.
*Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
*Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
*A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Previous experience within a complex or multi-site organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
