This fantastic company are a market leading, fast paced dynamic heavy machinery manufacturer & due to continued growth & expansion, they are now looking to hire a Technical Author to join a rapidly growing team to produce materials for the end user.

As Technical Author you will be responsible for producing documentation for equipment & machinery including operator manuals, spare parts manuals, service & maintenance manuals and training documentation. They operate throughout Europe & are continually moving into new territories, so the role will also involve working with external translation agencies to translate materials into various European languages.

The Role:

*Producing documentation for machinery including -operator manuals, spare parts manuals, service & maintenance manuals and training documentation.
*Writing instructions and step by step guides which will easily be understood and followed
*Researching and familiarising relevant health and safety requirements and standards for operation of the machinery
*Assisting in the building of machinery at the prototype stage in order to write service and maintenance manuals
*Manipulating CAD files and working with exploded drawings to create user guides and spare parts diagrams

The Person:

*Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to produce clear and concise instructions that conform with company documentation standards.
*Be able to convey complex information correctly and simply.
*Have experience in producing technical guides and support guidelines or haveexperience in technical authoring roles.
*Have a high degree of attention to detail, Good organisational skills ability to prioritise work.
*Self-motivated, friendly and professional with the ability to communicate effectively
