Full job description
Role: Fee Earner - MOJ
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £27,000 - £37,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
We are working in partnership with a well-established legal services provider to recruit a Fast Track Fee Earner to join their Personal Injury team, focusing on non-infant MOJ claims. This is a fast-paced caseload management role, suited to someone with experience in handling early-stage personal injury claims and a strong understanding of the MOJ process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing a portfolio of fast-track RTA claims efficiently from inception through to conclusion, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements while delivering a high standard of client care throughout.
The role
You will manage your own caseload of MOJ portal personal injury claims, ensuring matters are progressed in a timely and structured manner. This will include gathering and reviewing evidence, assessing claims, and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to support effective case handling.
You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, responding to queries, and managing expectations throughout the lifecycle of their claim.
The role also involves liaising with third parties such as insurers and medical professionals to support case progression, as well as preparing and submitting legal correspondence and documentation in line with procedural and regulatory requirements.
Accurate case management is essential, including maintaining up-to-date records on internal systems and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
You will also contribute to team discussions and support ongoing improvements to processes within the department.
About you
You will have prior experience handling fast-track personal injury claims and a strong working knowledge of the MOJ portal process.
You should be confident managing multiple files simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, along with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
You will ideally be comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to your work.
What’s on offer
This role sits within a well-regarded, accredited legal organisation that places a strong emphasis on development, performance, and continuous improvement. It offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to further develop their career within personal injury law.
