A leading automotive retail group is seeking an Systems Accountant to join its Head Office Finance team in Leicester. Representing some of the world’s most prestigious vehicle brands, this organisation has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, innovation, and employee development across its nationwide dealership network.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong accounting background and motor retail experience to join a forward-thinking business operating at the intersection of finance, systems, and operations. The role will support dealerships across the group, helping to improve processes, enhance reporting, and maximise the effectiveness of the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include, but are not limited to:
*Support dealerships and internal teams with system and process-related queries.
*Maintain and administer the company’s Dealer Management System (DMS).
*Support users across accounting, vehicle stock book, purchase ledger, and sales ledger modules.
*Assist colleagues with troubleshooting and resolving operational and finance system issues.
*Provide practical, best-practice guidance while understanding wider business requirements.
*Assist with training users on finance systems, vehicle stock systems, and related processes.
*Produce regular reports and management information for dealerships and senior leadership teams.
*Support the development and enhancement of reporting tools and business insights.
*Identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities to improve processes across the group.
*Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, acquisitions, and disposals.
*Contribute to wider finance and systems improvement projects.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure strong financial and operational controls are in place.
What You Will Need to Apply:
*A strong accounting foundation and understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
*Previous experience within the motor retail or dealership environment is essential.
*Experience using Dealer Management Systems such as Keyloop, Kerridge, ADP, or similar would be highly advantageous.
*Exposure to dealership operations, vehicle stock systems, and transactional finance processes.
*Strong attention to detail with a logical and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
*Ability to work independently and proactively within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
*Good IT skills and confidence working with finance systems, data, and reporting tools.
*A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and adapt.
*Full UK driving licence.
