Full job descriptionDriver Hire Southampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established general haulage company for an experienced Class 2 Driver. This is a great opportunity to join a professional and supportive operation delivering palletised freight to commercial customers across the UK.
About this Class 2 position:*Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rota basis
*Start time: 7:15am
*Long-distance deliveries throughout the UK
*Delivering palletised freight to commercial customers
*Use of a pump truck for unloading pallets (some sites may unload via forklift)
*Completing daily vehicle checks and accurately maintaining all paperwork
Requirements from you as a Class 2 Driver:*Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
*Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
*Minimum of 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience
*Previous experience strapping loads securely
*Experience driving 18-tonne or 26-tonne curtain-side tail-lift vehicles
*Good understanding of drivers’ hours and health & safety regulations
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
*Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
