Full job descriptionOur client is a well established manufacturing business looking to appoint a quality control inspector due to a period of continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication and welding background who has moved away from the tools or is looking to transition into a quality-focused role. If you’ve spent years in fabrication, welding, or heavy engineering environments and can confidently identify what "good" looks like from both a workmanship and compliance perspective, this role could be a natural next step.
The Role
*Carry out dimensional, visual, and documented inspections of fabricated and welded components.
*Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to ensure compliance.
*Conduct in-process and final inspections across manufacturing operations.
*Identify non-conformances and work closely with production teams to implement corrective actions.
*Complete inspection reports, quality records, and associated documentation accurately.
*Verify welding quality, fabrication standards, and overall workmanship.
*Support root cause investigations relating to quality issues and customer complaints.
*Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
*Assist in continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes.
*Liaise with production, engineering, and management teams to maintain quality standards.
