About the Role
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Sunderland who are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. So long as you have experience of working with children, the school are happy to see people who aren’t necessarily qualified but someone who is passionate, creative and willing to prgress in the role.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working predominantly within Key Stage 1, supporting small groups of pupils throughout the school day. The school is keen to find someone who can bring energy, creativity, and fresh ideas into the classroom to help pupils engage with their learning in meaningful and exciting ways.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Supporting small groups of pupils across KS1
*Delivering engaging activities using play-based learning, arts, and crafts
*Encouraging participation through creative and interactive approaches
*Adapting tasks to suit different learning styles and needs
*Working alongside the class teacher to bring lessons to life
*Helping to create a fun, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
