Rate: £250 - £300 per day (Umbrella)
Location: Morden, South London
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Climate Change Manager to join a forward-thinking local authority on an initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving climate action across the borough, leading strategic programmes, securing funding and managing a specialist climate team.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead the development and delivery of climate strategies, action plans and annual programmes
*Manage and motivate a specialist climate and sustainability team
*Act as the lead advisor on climate change matters to senior stakeholders and elected members
*Secure external funding and develop innovative financing solutions for climate initiatives
*Build strong partnerships with residents, businesses, community groups and external agencies
*Oversee climate, energy, retrofit and sustainability projects across the organisation
Essential Requirements
*Significant experience leading climate change, sustainability or net zero programmes
*Strong understanding of climate mitigation, adaptation and low-carbon initiatives
*Proven experience managing teams and delivering complex projects to deadline
*Demonstrable success securing grants, funding or investment opportunities
*Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
*Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or substantial equivalent experience
