*Salary: £16.14 - £17.61 per hour (actual pro-rata annual salary = £28,838.95 - £31,465.55) dependant on qualifications

*Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Term Time Only

*Location: Redhill, Surrey

*Hours: 40 per week

*Shift Pattern: Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4.45pm. Tuesday 5pm and Friday 4pm



As part of our growth strategy, Teaching Personnel are working with a brand new SEND Secondary School in Redhill, Surreyfor young people aged 11-16 who require support with social communication, emotional regulation and sensory processing, typically associated with Autism. All our students have access to a broad and exciting curriculum, allied to the national curriculum, personalised to meet their needs, interests and passions. With a model of small classes, high levels of classroom support and a supernumerary multi-disciplinary intervention team we are able to give students "every opportunity to achieve".
Due to expanding the capacity within the school, we are looking to recruit a Family Support Officer and DDSL. You will work alongside our current Family Support Officer and with our DSL/Pastoral Lead, together with the therapy team in supporting families of our students.

Key Duties:
*Act as a role model and support the development of supportive relationships between home and school.
*To coordinate the effective implementation of the Attendance Policy.
*Monitor, track and report on pupil attendance and those where there are concerns around attendance.
*To liaise with parents/carers who are currently open to family support and early help to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach.
*Deliver relevant staff training (CPD).
*To support the DSL in managing safeguarding concerns, maintaining chid protection records and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
*To provide therapeutic support to pupils who are struggling to engage in class based learning or school, in consultation with the therapy team and key members of the teaching team, with the aim of re-engagement in class.
*Produce attendance and family-support data for SLT and Governors.
*Ensure that all relevant monitoring, recording and reporting has been completed, to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.

Skills and Qualifications
*GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
*A relevant professional qualification or the ability to gain L3 in working with children and young people.
*L3 in working with children and young people is highly desirable.
*Qualifications in psychology or social care would be desirable.
