We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Perfect Binding Operator to join our clients production team in York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced, modern print environment where craftsmanship, teamwork, and attention to detail are highly valued.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality printed products for a diverse range of customers. You’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining perfect binding equipment, ensuring every job meets exacting quality standards and is delivered on time.
Working closely with colleagues across production, you’ll help keep operations running efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
*Set up and operate perfect binding machinery to achieve high-quality finished products
*Monitor production runs and ensure jobs are completed efficiently and accurately
*Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
*Perform quality control checks throughout the production process
*Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet deadlines and customer expectations
*Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience operating and maintaining perfect binding equipment
*Strong understanding of print production processes and materials
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Ability to identify and resolve machine or production issues
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
*Effective communication and teamwork abilities
*Experience within the print, publishing, or related industries would be advantageous
*GCSE-level education or equivalent
