Apprentice Brewer
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Brewer to join our brewing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in brewing and gain hands-on experience within an award-winning Yorkshire brewery.
Working alongside experienced brewers, you will learn all aspects of brewery operations, including brewing, fermentation management, packaging, quality control, cleaning, and stock management. The role offers the opportunity to develop valuable technical skills while contributing to the production of high-quality beer.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with wort production using our 70HL Moeschle brewhouse system.
*Supporting fermentation monitoring and finished product transfers.
*Assisting with quality control checks throughout the brewing process.
*Learning yeast management procedures and brewery best practices.
*Maintaining accurate brewing, packaging, and production records.
*Cleaning and sanitising brewery and packaging equipment in line with hygiene standards.
*Assisting with packaging beer into cask, keg and other formats.
*Supporting stock control activities and general brewery operations.
*Following all health, safety, quality and hygiene procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*A genuine interest in brewing and the beer industry.
*A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
*Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.
*A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
*A full UK driving licence.
The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:
*Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, hospitality, warehouse, or brewery environments.
*Experience using the BREWW brewery management system.
*Forklift licence.
*HACCP qualifications.
*IBD qualifications.
No previous brewing experience is required as full training will be provided.
