About the Opportunity
Our client is a specialist boutique law firm advising a loyal and longstanding client base, primarily made up of farming families, land-owning individuals, rural clients, and complex private estates.
The firm is growing strongly and is keen to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor who would like to play an important part in that continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality private client work, values strong long-term client relationships, and is looking for a role offering autonomy, progression, and genuine influence within a highly regarded specialist practice.
Key Requirements
You will be a qualified and experienced Private Client Solicitor with a strong technical understanding of private client law and the confidence to manage a varied caseload independently. You will bring:
*Qualified Solicitor status with a current practising certificate in England and Wales
*2+ years’ PQE in private client work
*Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, estate planning, and tax planning
*Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently and accurately
*Experience advising farming, rural, land-owning, high-net-worth, or complex estate clients would be highly desirable
*Strong drafting skills across wills, trusts, LPAs, estate administration, and related private client matters
*Excellent client care skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and sensitively
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
*Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, and Microsoft Office
*A collaborative, professional, and proactive approach
Role & Responsibilities
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will play a central role within the firm’s specialist private client practice, managing matters from initial instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing a broad caseload of private client matters
*Advising on wills, estate planning, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, and tax planning
*Supporting clients with clear, practical, and tailored legal advice
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, often across generations
*Working with farming families, land-owning clients, and complex private estates
*Drafting legal documents with accuracy, care, and attention to detail
*Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a seamless client service
*Staying up to date with legislative and regulatory changes affecting private client law
*Supervising or mentoring paralegals and trainees where appropriate
*Ensuring full compliance with all professional and regulatory obligations
