We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils within Key Stage 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported, nurturing environment.
The Role
You will be leading a mixed-ability KS1 class, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. The class group reflects the school’s broad spectrum of SEN provision.
Needs within the Class
*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Physical Disabilities (PD)
*Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
*Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
*Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider multidisciplinary teams
*Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
*Support communication, behaviour and sensory needs
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
*Proven experience working within SEN settings – essential
*Experience teaching KS1 or primary-aged pupils
*Strong understanding of ASD and complex learning needs
*Confident managing challenging behaviours positively
*A patient, resilient and proactive approach
