Job Description:
Full job description HFG are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team, supporting regulatory reporting and financial analysis across European entities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a global organisation, partnering with multiple teams and contributing to key financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting
*Prepare accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders in line with GAAP and regulatory standards
*Lead and support key regulatory submissions (e.g. Solvency UK, Lloyd’s returns, NAIC, QRTs)
*Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes
*Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial data and disclosures
*Support ongoing improvements to financial systems and processes
*Work closely with internal and external auditors
Financial Planning & Analysis
*Analyse regional financial results for senior management and board reporting
*Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
*Partner with teams across the business to provide financial insight
*Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience & Knowledge
*Strong background in the insurance industry (Lloyd’s experience is a plus)
*Solid understanding of UK & US GAAP
*Experience with general ledger and financial systems
Skills & Attributes
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
*Self-starter with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
*Advanced Excel skills
*Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
