An established and growing Top 10 accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its team in Plymouth. Your role as an Audit Senior:


*Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.
*Managing audit budgets and monitoring job progress against agreed timelines.
*Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
*Assessing internal controls and identifying audit risks.
*Supervising, coaching and developing junior team members.
*Communicating effectively with clients and building strong working relationships.
*Leading audit planning, progress and completion meetings.
*Identifying opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency.
*Escalating complex technical matters where appropriate.
*Ensuring key findings and recommendations are clearly documented and communicated.


What you’ll need to succeed:


*ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or be a finalist).
*Previous experience working within Audit & Assurance in a practice environment.
*Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, auditing standards and Companies Act requirements.
*Experience leading audits and managing client relationships.
*The ability to assess risk independently and make sound professional judgements.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
