Berkshire (Hybrid)
Contract Length: One is for 3 months and the other will be for 12 months
Hourly rate: between £13.89 - £15.66
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Technical Officer to support Housing and Public Protection services within a busy local authority.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide administrative and technical support across Housing, Environmental Health, and Community Safety
*Handle enquiries from customers, internal teams, and stakeholders
*Process grants, applications, and other statutory back-office functions
*Manage finance tasks including purchase orders and invoices
*Maintain accurate records and update service databases
*Support complaints, casework, and performance reporting
What are we looking for
*Strong administrative experience (including finance)
*Excellent IT skills (MS Office, databases)
*Customer-focused with strong communication skills
*Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure
*Team player with great attention to detail
Desirable: Local authority experience, knowledge of regulatory services, or systems like Uniform.
