Full job descriptionWe support young people who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Tutor, you’ll provide 1:1 tuition, helping learners re-engage with education and achieve their potential.


As a Tutor, you will:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
*Record student progress and report on this weekly.
*Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
*Record attendance.
*Be organised, dependable and creative.
*Be calm, fair and adaptable.
About you:
*Nurturing and caring nature
*Patient, kind and understanding
*Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
*Organised
*Comfortable to support secondary aged pupils with English, Maths and possibly Science too or comfortable to Mentor young people.
*Have experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:


*Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
*Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
*Hold right to work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide references upon request
*Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
