Job Description:
Full job descriptionA successful and growing manufacturing business with a turnover of approximately £8.5m is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function.
Reporting directly to the owners and board of directors, this is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and contribute to the company’s continued growth and profitability.
Managing an Accounts Assistant, you’ll oversee the day-to-day finance operation whilst providing accurate financial reporting, commercial insight and strategic support to senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
*Full responsibility for the finance function
*Production of monthly management accounts
*Leading month-end and year-end processes
*Presenting monthly financial results and profitability analysis to the owners and board
*Budgeting and forecasting
*Cashflow management and reporting
*VAT returns and compliance
*Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
*Managing customer and supplier invoicing through Oracle NetSuite
*Creating and monitoring departmental cost centres
*Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls
*Managing company insurance policies and renewals
*Supporting daily banking activities and reconciliations
*Managing and developing an Accounts Assistant
About You
*Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role
*Experience producing monthly management accounts
*Strong budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management skills
*Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*A proactive and commercially-minded approach
*Experience using Oracle NetSuite would be advantageous
*AAT Qualified, CIMA/ACCA studier or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
