Are you an experienced Payroll Manager who has working knowledge of SD Worx? Our Hemel Hempstead based client are recruiting for someone to join them 2/3 days a week on an ongoing basis. This is a standalone role, where you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll of 600 staff.
Responsibilities:
*Maintain accurate payroll records, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and benefits
*Calculate wages, overtime, pensions, and statutory payments (e.g. SSP, SMP, SPP)
*Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation
*Submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
*Manage tax codes, National Insurance contributions, and student loan deductions
*Handle payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
*Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
*Prepare and issue payslips, P60s, and P45s
*Liaise with HR and finance teams regarding employee data changes
*Support audits and ensure payroll data accuracy and security
*Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Key Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in payroll administration (preferred)
*Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC processes
*Proficiency in SD Worx payroll system
*Strong numeracy and attention to detail
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Ability to handle sensitive data confidentially
*Good communication and problem-solving skills
