Cedar is partnering with a leading PE-backed Infrastructure business to appoint an Interim Senior Financial Accountant. The assignment is offered for an initial 6-month contract on a hybrid basis, with regular attendance at the London office (3 days per week). The role offers £500 - £575 per day.

The Role
This Interim Senior Financial Accountant role combines technical financial accounting, regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, and financial control responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:


*Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the business
*Prepare statutory accounts and support external reporting
*Review and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting evidence
*Produce monthly management information and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
*Manage core month-end activities including journals, accruals, prepayments, and other key adjustments
*Support VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting submissions, ensuring compliance with all deadlines
*Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, supporting audit processes and resolution of queries


Your Profile


*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
*Strong financial accounting experience within a complex environment
*Excellent technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP
*Experience preparing statutory accounts, managing audits, and maintaining strong balance sheet controls
*Previous experience working in infrastructure or infrastructure-adjacent businesses
*Available to start at short notice or immediately available
