HGV Mechanic – Buxton
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic in Buxton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established operation, maintaining a modern fleet of HGV vehicles and ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and operational.
We are also keen to hear from mechanically minded candidates with relevant transferable skills who are looking to develop a career within the HGV industry. Full support and training opportunities may be available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of HGV vehicles.
*Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently.
*Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
*Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and compliance standards.
*Maintain accurate service and repair records.
*Work collaboratively with the wider team to minimise vehicle downtime.
About You
*Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Plant Mechanic, Agricultural Engineer, or similar is desirable.
*Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety.
*A proactive and reliable approach to work.
