An opportunity to join a growing group finance function within a fast-scaling, acquisitive organisation. This is a newly created role designed to support a centralised sales and finance operation, helping to drive consistency, efficiency, and improved customer experience across multiple business units.
Sitting within group finance, the role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to get involved in a wide range of finance activities, particularly within a business undergoing significant growth through acquisitions.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations across a central sales division that interacts with multiple areas of the wider group.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to develop within a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Operations
*Raising and issuing invoices within a centralised billing function
*Managing supplier, customer, and intercompany invoicing
*Supporting accounts receivable, including cash collection activities
*Assisting with accounts payable processes
*Performing reconciliations (bank, customer, supplier, intercompany)
2. Central Sales & Customer Support
*Supporting a central sales finance team that interacts with multiple business units
*Helping streamline financial processes to improve overall customer experience
*Managing financial elements of work orders, purchase orders, and billing cycles
3. Systems & Controls
*Using a cloud-based finance system for daily operations
*Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records
*Supporting system integrity and preventing duplication
*Assisting with ongoing system and process improvements
4. Process & Reporting
*Supporting purchase order processes and financial controls
*Assisting with reporting and group-level finance activities
*Providing general administrative support to the finance function
5. Growth & Projects
*Supporting finance processes relating to acquisitions and integration activity
*Opportunity to get involved in broader group finance initiatives as the business scales
*Potential exposure to company secretarial or project-based work over time
Structure
*Part of a central group finance team
*Aligned to a central sales division supporting multiple entities
*Reporting into a Finance Manager, with visibility to senior leadership (Finance Director / CFO level)
*Working alongside a small team including qualified and part-qualified professionals
Candidate Profile
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role
*Strong understanding of core finance processes (AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations)
*Experience working with purchase orders and transactional finance
*Familiarity with finance systems (ERP experience preferred)
*Good Excel skills (desirable)
