Full job descriptionMERJE is seeking a highly skilled professional to join a leading insurance company as a Financial Controller/Finance Consultant on a part time basis (2 days a week). Salary: Up to £70k based on Full time equivalent (Pro Rata’ed for 2 days)

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller/Finance Consultant:
*Managing and overseeing all aspects of financial control and reporting activities
*Providing strategic financial consultancy to support business decision-making
*Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards within the insurance sector
*Preparing detailed financial analysis and management reports for stakeholders
*Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures


Required knowledge and experience for the Financial Controller/Finance Consultant role:
*Proven experience in a Financial Controller/Finance Consultant capacity or similar senior finance role
*Strong technical knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance
*Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Experience within the insurance sector would be highly advantageous
*Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance and insights
