Our client, a leading engineering firm based in Kent, are looking for a motivated individual at the early stages of their machining career to join their skilled production team.
As a Junior CNC Machinist you will work under the guidance of experienced machinists and engineers, assisting in manufacturing precision machined components, and gaining hands-on experience in CNC machining within a modern workshop environment.
As a Junior CNC Machinist you will
*Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
*Load programs and make basic offsets and adjustments
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
*Measure and inspect components
*Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
*Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
As a Junior CNC Machinist, you will need:
*Basic experience or training in CNC machining, with a focus on turning
*Understanding of CNC controls, ideally Fanuc but training will be provided
*Ability to read technical drawings
*Willingness to learn and develop machining skills
*Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
*Relevant apprenticeship, college qualification, or on-the-job experience
Hours of work are, Monday-Thursday and Friday Hours per week
