We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Stockport on a part-time basis. This role is specifically designed to support a client with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a deep understanding of safeguarding protocols.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide attentive care, addressing both physical and emotional needs in the home environment and during outings into the community.
*Follow detailed care plans tailored to the client’s specific needs, including requirements for personal care and community activities.
*Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the client both at home and during community outings.
*Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant professionals.
*Ensure all interactions and activities are conducted in a respectful and professional manner, adhering to all safeguarding protocols.
*Travel to the client’s home and accompany them to various community locations, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A minimum of 6 months care-related experience in the UK.
*Strong awareness of safeguarding issues and protocols, especially related to vulnerable adults.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the client and their support networks.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
*An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service. Support available for new DBS applications.
*Right to work in the UK.
*Suitability to work with adults in a care setting, including providing personal care and support.
