Location: Lewisham
We are seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Primary Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and delivering high-quality learning experiences.
Working Pattern: 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday)
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will provide PPA cover across the school, including two days each week within the EYFS provision. The school is based in Lewisham and supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across primary age groups.
*Undertake all planning, preparation and assessment responsibilities.
*Provide high-quality PPA cover within the SEN school.
*Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
*Work closely with colleagues, therapists and support staff.
*Contribute positively to the school’s education and training environment.
*Promote excellent outcomes through effective education and training practices.
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools.
*SEN experience or a strong interest in SEN.
*EYFS and/or KS1 experience is highly desirable.
*Excellent spoken and written English.
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
*Not suitable for ECTs.
This Primary Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive SEN setting in Lewisham, making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs. The successful Primary Teacher will not have form tutor responsibilities and will be expected to manage their own planning.
