Hours: Monday to Friday, Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
Pay: £15+ per hour
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive school in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities professional looking for a long-term role within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities*Opening and securing the school premises each day
*Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs and general handyman duties
*Undertaking routine health and safety checks across the site
*Ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained
*Setting up classrooms, halls and other areas for school events and activities
*Monitoring site security and reporting any maintenance issues
*Supporting with deliveries, contractor visits and site access arrangements
*Assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of school facilities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have*Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative or in a similar role
*Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
*A strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities
*The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively
*A flexible, hands-on and dependable approach
*An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
