Teaching Assistant | Ware, Hertfordshire | Permanent | Term Time Only
Academics is recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN setting in Ware, Hertfordshire.
This Teaching Assistant role in Ware, Hertfordshire is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm, with one day per week until 5:15pm (34 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Salary: £19,711 pro rata
Key Responsibilities:
*Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Assist with learning, interventions, and individual education plans
*Monitor pupil progress and maintain records
*Support pupils’ wellbeing, personal care, and social development where required
*Prepare classroom resources and provide general classroom support
*Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Requirements:
*GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
*Reliable, patient, and adaptable approach
Desirable:
*Previous Teaching Assistant experience
*Experience supporting children with SEN
*NVQ Level 2/3 or relevant qualification
*Safeguarding training
