A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings. You will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive school environment.
The role would suit candidates with previous SEN experience, school-based experience, or graduates looking to gain valuable experience in education, psychology, or child development.

Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

*Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence

*Assist with targeted interventions and classroom activities

*Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team

*Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

RequirementsEssential:
*GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

*Experience working with children or within an SEN setting

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:
*Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs

*Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject

*Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and interventions
