About the Role
Reed Education are working with a specialist setting in South Wales to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher. This role involves delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching to secondary-aged pupils with complex needs and behaviours that may be challenging.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, while supporting pupils to achieve their full potential through personalised learning approaches.
About the Setting
You’ll be working within a small, focused nurturing environment supporting secondary school-aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and may have ADHD and/or display behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting.
Class sizes are small, with a typical staff-to-student ratio of 2:4, allowing you to provide tailored support and build strong, meaningful relationships. The school prides itself on its close-knit community, where staff and pupils support one another and wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to individual needs
*Create a positive and structured classroom environment
*Develop personalised learning pathways for pupils
*Motivate and inspire students through creative teaching approaches
*Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
*Uphold high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and professional conduct
Subject Specialism
We welcome applications from teachers with a specialism in:
*Chemistry
*Physics
*Biology
Requirements
*QTS or QTLS (essential)
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision
*A genuine passion and commitment to supporting students with SEND
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
