Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in Walsall across mainstream and SEN school settings, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is confident working with pupils who require additional learning, communication and behavioural support.
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support to pupils across different classroom environments. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time and day-to-day opportunities available.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to access learning and develop confidence within the classroom. Every SEN Teaching Assistant contributes to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Job Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
• Minimum 6 months experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting pupils with SEN
• Experience within a UK school setting (mainstream or SEN) as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Enhanced Child or Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Role responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Support pupils with learning, behaviour and emotional needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff as a SEN Teaching Assistant
