Are you a caring and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role this September? Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs, or are you keen to begin a career in special educational needs?
A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Reading is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN Support Assistant to provide meaningful support to pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
As a SEN Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
*Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
* Assisting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development
* Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Working closely with teachers and specialist staff to support individual learning plans
* Encouraging pupil independence and confidence throughout the school day
* September 2026 start in a well-connected Reading location
This SEN Support Assistant role would suit candidates with experience in education, care, youth work, psychology, or support work. A genuine passion for helping children succeed is essential.
