About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a specialist alternative provision to recruit a 1:1 Media Studies Tutor to support a Year 11 female student with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide tailored, engaging tuition in a nurturing environment, supporting a student to achieve their GCSE outcomes and build confidence in their learning.


About the Setting
The provision is situated on a beautiful 5-acre farm in Harwood, between Bolton and Bury, offering a therapeutic and engaging setting for learners.
Facilities include:
*A range of animals including goats, alpacas, donkeys, and more, all cared for by students
*Dedicated classroom and food technology spaces
*A stable block and small animal/incubation room
*A forest school area within an orchard featuring an adventure trail, swings, teepee, and fire pit
*A horticulture area where students grow produce used in cookery sessions
This unique environment is designed to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

*Deliver 1:1 GCSE Media Studies tuition

Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
*Experience working with SEMH pupils or challenging behaviour
*Strong knowledge of the GCSE Media Studies curriculum
*Ability to differentiate and personalise learning
*Calm, patient, and resilient approach
