Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, load and unload goods, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy to support smooth warehouse functions. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
Duties
*Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse
*Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
*Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
*Handle materials carefully, ensuring safe lifting techniques for heavy loads
*Support warehouse organisation by stacking, storing, and retrieving items as required
*Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
*Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as part of stock management procedures
Skills
*Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment
*Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
*Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks
*Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation processes
*Basic mathematical skills for accurate counting, weighing, and measurements
*Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
*Physical fitness to handle heavy loads and perform prolonged periods of lifting and standing
