Full job descriptionEYFS Teaching Assistant - Start Date: September 2026 - Location: Stafford
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, passionate and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming school on the outskirts of Stafford supporting their Reception class. The hours in which you will be expected to work will be 32.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will have experience working within the Early Years settings and must hold full and relevant Level 3 qualifications in Early Years.
Your duties will play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development through play-based, engaging and stimulating experiences and activities. Your duty will be to create a nurturing environment where all pupils thrive and flourish.
The role may include:
*Supporting teaching and learning within a Reception class.
*Working with individual pupils and providing small group interventions where necessary.
*Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation.
*Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and progress.
*Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment at all times.
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
We are looking for someone who:
*Must have experience working with children in an educational setting.
*Holds a NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
*Recent experience of working in a school.
*Has a positive, flexible and professional approach to work.
*Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
*Can provide professional references.
*Is reliable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
*Can travel to the outskirts of Stafford.

Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
