We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join a supportive setting in Rochdale.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may face barriers to learning, including SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional support needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students engage with education and reach their full potential.
The Role*Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
*Building positive and trusting relationships with students
*Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
*Encouraging engagement, attendance, and participation in learning
*Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
*Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
We Are Looking For*Experience working with children or young people is desirable
*A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
*Passion for supporting young people to succeed

*Ability to provide professional references covering the last two years.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
