Full job descriptionSEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Salford)Full-Time | Starting September 2026
We are seeking a strong and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Salford on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs to achieve their full potential.
The Role*Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
*Assist in delivering tailored learning plans alongside the class teacher and SENCO
*Support students with behavioural, emotional, and learning needs
*Help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
*Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
*Strong behaviour management skills and a resilient, confident approach
*Passionate about supporting students with additional needs
*Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
*Team player with a proactive attitude
