About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated HLTA – THRIVE Lead to join our team at Aurora Hanley School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs, and who can champion a whole school THRIVE approach.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams to embed a nurturing, inclusive culture across the school. You’ll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional development, and ensuring every student is able to engage fully in learning.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the implementation and promotion of the THRIVE approach across the school
*Support students’ social, emotional and behavioural development through 1:1 and group interventions
*Work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals to support student progress
*Act as a visible role model across the school, including during unstructured times such as breaks and lunchtimes
*Analyse behaviour data and use insights to inform proactive strategies and interventions
*Deliver training, coaching and support to colleagues to build understanding of THRIVE and inclusive practice
*Contribute to reports, reviews and student support plans
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or SEN setting
*Has knowledge of social, emotional development and/or attachment theory
*Is passionate about inclusive practice and supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASC and ADHD
*Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Is proactive, flexible and solution-focused
*Can analyse data and demonstrate impact
*Holds (or is willing to work towards) THRIVE practitioner training
A background in psychology or positive behaviour support, and experience delivering nurture or social skills groups would be highly advantageous.
