Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming infant school in Worksop for an enthusiastic and caring After School Club Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment at the end of the school day.
The RoleAs the After School Club Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a group of approximately 10-15 children from EYFS to Key Stage 1 between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
You will plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities, ensure the welfare and safety of all children, and create a positive atmosphere where children can relax, play, and develop social skills after the school day has ended.
Responsibilities*Leading the daily operation of the after-school club including manager other staff
*Supervising children aged 4-7 years old
*Planning and organising engaging indoor and outdoor activities
*Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
*Preparing and serving light snacks in line with food hygiene standards
*Maintaining accurate registers and following safeguarding procedures
*Building positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff
The Ideal Candidate*Enjoys working with children and supporting their development
*Has excellent communication and organisational skills
*Is reliable, enthusiastic, and able to lead activities independently
*Previous experience working in a school, childcare, nursery, or club setting would be advantageous but is not essential
*A First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial; however, training can be provided by the school
