As the business continues to expand its commercial footprint, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across key sectors including Retail & Grocery, Manufacturing, FMCG, Logistics and Healthcare.


This is a newly created role with significant scope to shape strategy, build pipeline and make a direct impact on the organisation’s growth journey.

What You’ll Be Selling

The platform enables organisations to create digital representations of their processes, operations and environments, allowing them to:


*Model and simulate business scenarios before implementing change
*Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
*Stress-test processes against changing market conditions and demand
*Reduce risk and improve decision-making through data-driven insights
*Quantify the likely outcomes of transformation initiatives before investment


Typical use cases include:


*Assessing the impact of robotics and automation in warehouses
*Improving in-store operational efficiency
*Optimising customer experiences and venue layouts
*Testing business resilience and contingency planning
*Supporting large-scale transformation and change programmes

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building relationships with senior decision-makers across your target sectors.
You’ll work closely with marketing, pre-sales, delivery and account management teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions and guide prospects through complex buying journeys.

Key Responsibilities

*Generate and develop relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
*Build, manage and convert a healthy new business pipeline
*Identify customer challenges, objectives and commercial drivers
*Research prospects and develop a deep understanding of their business priorities
*Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes
*Handle objections and overcome barriers to progression
*Create compelling business cases and value propositions
*Accurately forecast pipeline, sales activity and revenue
*Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial agreements
*Collaborate with marketing on lead generation initiatives and campaigns
*Partner with pre-sales and delivery teams to support presentations, workshops and proposals
*Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans

About You

We’re looking for a highly motivated and commercially driven new business professional with a proven track record of generating and closing opportunities.


You will be:


*Results-focused, resilient and highly self-motivated
*Experienced in building pipeline and winning new business from scratch
*A strong communicator with excellent questioning and listening skills
*Confident engaging and presenting to senior stakeholders
*Skilled at uncovering business challenges and articulating measurable value
*Comfortable selling complex technology, software or consultancy-led solutions
*Able to engage both business and technical audiences
*Collaborative and team-oriented, with a consultative sales approach
*Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn and develop

Desirable Experience

*Experience selling into Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics or other regulated sectors
*Exposure to digital transformation, data, analytics, simulation or consultancy-led solutions
*Experience navigating complex buying environments with multiple stakeholders
*Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
